“Their imaginations will be set in motion as they get involved with Josh and his family camping across the U.S. It feels like you know each member of this family and share in their excitement of discovery.” – Carol D.
It began with an unexpected letter in the mail. Now Josh Reed and his family are in for the adventure of a lifetime when they agree to go on the ultimate treasure hunt. They must follow the clues which will lead them across the United States to see the wonders of God’s creation, including many national parks and national monuments. When challenges arise and dangers threaten, will their faith in God and help from each other be enough? At the end a treasure waits, but will what they find along the way be even more valuable?
Josh, an eleven-year-old detective in the making, has a question of his own. Is it his imagination, or is someone following them?
Help Josh and his family decipher the clues, record their journey through the states on a map, and solve a mystery as well.
“Our family thoroughly enjoyed this book! Mystery at Quiet Rock Camp is wholesome and creative, and beautifully portrays the value of family” – M.J.R.
Finding hidden clues, shooting water balloons with a giant slingshot, canoeing, horseback riding, and hunting treasure seem like the perfect summer camp activities. Unfortunately, a furry creature with big eyes, an attacking bird, dangerous animals, a missing brother, and an intruder in the dark are just some of the problems the Reed family faces when they decide to start their own summer camp! Making their own tents from sheets and clothespins seems like a great idea too, but is that a bear on the other side? How could things go so wrong? Join Josh, Brittany, their brothers, sister, and cousins as they rely on God and help each other when facing these challenges. Josh, a twelve-year-old detective in the making, wants to solve the mystery of the nighttime intruder, but he might need some help from a very unlikely source. Best of all, although this book is fiction, some of the strangest adventures in this story really happened!
